Associate's Degree Our Client is seeking a Paraprofessional to provide supportive service in Avon, Bloomfield, Simbury, and the surrounding areas.
Our client has multiple client opportunities for the 23-24 school year! PERKS Weekly compensation No Weekends No Evenings/Nights Virtual registration meetings Virtual registration meetings, no weekends or late shifts, and compensation SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY De-escalate students who demonstrate behavioral challenges Assist classroom teacher with lesson delivery, classroom management, and material development Track student progress throughout the day, sometimes with the use of charts or graphics Empower students with strategies that enhance their strengths Provide an encouraging and supportive presence to students Monitor the classroom to minimize distractions and disruptions Help teacher facilitate technology in the classroom when necessary CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION Minimum of an Associate's degree in child development or related field (preferred), or 60 college credits ParaPro certification a plus Experience with children who demonstrate behavioral challenges and/or have special needs including autism or medical fragility Willingness to complete PMT (restraint) training Satisfactory fingerprint background check DTG ADVANTAGES Work with one of the nation's largest behavioral health referral agencies Flexible schedule as a Contractor.
